The mid-term Conference of EXPLO, Prehistoric lakeshore settlements in South-East Europe: archaeological, palaeoecological and bioarchaeological investigations within the EXPLO project, took place on the 5th and 6th of July 2022 at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During the two-day meeting, the principal investigators Prof. Albert Hafner, Prof. Willy Tinner, Prof. Amy Bogaard and Prof. Em. Kostas Kotsakis presented the overview of the EXPLO project, whereas the research team members of the University of Bern, the University of Oxford and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki covered issues on dendrochronology, material culture, palaeoecology and bioarchaeology.
