The Swiss-Liechtenstein Foundation for Archaeological Research Abroad (SLSA) continues its commitment to fostering international archaeological collaboration by supporting the 2025 excavations at Lin, on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Albania, both on land and underwater.
Following its valuable support of the EXPLO project in previous years, SLSA funding remains crucial to advancing fieldwork and research at Lin. This work is carried out in collaboration between the University of Bern, the University of Oxford, and the National Academy of Science of Albania, and contributes significantly to international efforts in archaeological research, heritage protection, and capacity building in the region.
SLSA’s continued support underscores the Foundation’s important role in enabling systematic archaeological research and promoting cultural heritage cooperation across borders.
